TEXAS | Adrienne Bell
Adrienne Bell is a teacher and community organizer, raised her whole life in the 14th district of Texas. She was raised with an understanding of how important access to education really is, going on to become a first-generation college graduate. She also went on to get her Masters degree, and is pursuing a PhD.
During the Obama campaign, Bell began working as an activist and organizer with Organizers For America. She then became the Deputy Field Director for the Obama campaign in Texas. She worked to expand voter turnout and trained volunteers in how to get involved and campaign. She ran for the same seat in 2018, winning her primary but missing in the general election against incumbent Republican Randy Weber.
Bell is running on a platform, focused on healthcare for all, equal access to high quality education and financial stability for all families. She is also a supporter of progressive legislation such as the Green New Deal and Medicare for All. If Bell wins this November, she will also become the first person of color to represent the 14th, despite the district being made up of nearly half people of color.
